That sucks about the water :(
I do the hat thing too sometimes. I only wash my hair a couple times a week, and sometimes it's really getting to wash-time but I just have to run to the drugstore, so on goes the knit cap. Eff it.
Or you could just hang out in Park Slope and pretend it's on purpose.
