I love this hat I got with Amy Bee last year.
But with my new shorter hair, it is super itchy on my head. To the point where, if you are in Boston and it is totally winter, you might still choose to go hatless to avoid the itching.
So, I got this new hat today.
Pretty nondescript and a little like the fuzzy "gorilla hat" I had back when that guy wrapped central park in orange fabric.
(I had such a nice time. Jimmy, you rule.)
But...
SURPRISE!
There is a (faux) animal on the top of it.
I had planned to cut the animal off, but it's really grown on me. But, if I change my mind, it will make a great cat enrichment device.
Hats and friends are indispensable in winter.

I am in need of a hat too, but I need one of those slouchy beret kinda ones, to allow for my hair clip that I wear everyday. I am planning to investigate around town sometime soon.
Hats are good. Cold is bad.
What sort of fabric are you looking for, Alison? A knit one? Synthetic? Wool? Deets, please.
I'm not all that picky on fabric. I don't want it to be itchy, obviously, but I don't really care about synthetic or not.
The big issue for me is color - Old Navy blows because the hats they have in the right shape and for cheap are all awful colors, like bright green and such.
I'm going to check H&M, I think. Your source for cheap trendy items!
