Amber & Home Safe
Woody is home safe. He has an intense regimen of medicines, including a kitty inhaler and an eye ointment-- both of which he loooooves (not). The boy has to be quarrantined from the other cats, so he is in the bedroom. We had some sink hands yesterday but also some sneezes that we called the doctor about this morning. We go back in a week. Get better, little mister.

Question: What are "sink hands"?
Also: welcome home, Woody. Thank you for your contributions to the phone call earlier. I think having a cat paw on her chin helps Amber think more clearly. Plus, she told me she just LOVES when you drool on the keyboard. It adds that little extra something-something to her day!
In the olden days, sink hands were when Woody would stand up on the edge of the sink, and I would hold my hands together under the running faucet and he would drink from them. This is what he was begging for here: http://amberampersand.blogspot.com/2007/11/amber-falling-behind.html . But, then last spring, he tumbled off the edge of the sink and tore a cruciate ligament. This tragedy is recounted here: http://amberampersand.blogspot.com/2008/04/amber-boo-boo-legs.html . Now, we do Modified Sink Hands. Woody sits on the edge of the tub (a much wider surface) and I fill my hands up with water and hold them over the tub for him to sip from. Yes, that is who I am. I am that lady.
I don't think sink hands is such a weird idea.
Also: I love that beastie. See you Sunday, Woodrow.
Hmmm. I will have to try sink hands with my cat. She usually runs away when I turn the tap on, though, which means I'll have to follow her around the apartment with water in my hands...sounds fun!
Also, yes, you are That Lady. And that is cool.
