Amber & Modern Medicine

It was a busy weekend! Woody came home on Sunday night, shaved below his kitty waist (and looking quite chicken-like) stitched on his boo boo leg and wearing an Elizabethan collar. He was pretty miserable that first night, but did manage to sleep pretty well on the floor in my sleeping bag with me. He was happier yesterday, although he is quite a "spitfire," as the attending vet called him. He managed to squirm out of three different collars and, this morning, over-turned his litter even though I had taped it to the bottom of the resty den. The key difficulty with this recovery is going to be getting him to rest. We can't tempt fate by over-using the knee before its ready.

Poor kitty baby.

Many thanks to Nick for visiting us and for being such a good buddy for Woody.

OHMYGOD! Due to a busy weekend, I just got this update on poor Mr. Woods. I'm so glad you got the right diagnosis and figured out what needed to be done and now at least Senor W. is recovering properly. Good grief. What a roller coaster of emotion. Much love to you and the boy and the girl. Miss you. Part of the busy nature of the weekend was my dad stepped in a hole, fell down, dislocated his shoulder and broke a rib. He now has his own resty den. He's going to be ok, but man, is it stressful to have those you love in pain and unwell. Love to all the kitties and good people.

I sure hope your dad doesn't freak out as much in the resty den as Mr. Woody. Your dad could do alot more damage, even with a broken rib and dislocated shoulder.
