First farm share of the season! Strawberries, scapes, lettuce, potted
herbs, snap peas, bok choy, red and green kholrabi, scallions, red
kale, green chard, a weird half dozen of eight eggs, and a lovely
bouquet of calendula. I am so excited.

That kicks my farm share's ass!
Yay! It all looks lovely :) I love chard!
I had to visit Mr Google to find out what ramps were. You learn something new everyday.
Your farm-share excitement makes me happy.
And for the record, the Pratts (the hen-raising geniuses at Elihu Farm) intentionally sent 8 small eggs as the half share this week (instead of the usual six large eggs). It's early in the laying season, so not all the layers are up to speed yet.
Oh! I thought I stole eggs. I was all ready to return them.
I am curious to know what you intend to do with the kohlrabi. I tried it for the first time last week! (sliced, steamed, and served with butter -- tasty).
Amber almost ran back down all five flights of stairs to return the two "stolen" eggs to M'Funda K.
For the record I am also excited for all the farm share. Also for the record, a good portion of it is currently in my tummy.
Tonight, Amy, CRD and I matchstick-sliced the kohlrabi and added it to a stir fry with mushrooms, bok choy and chicken in a ginger soy sauce. But, my favorite way to eat it is match-stick sliced in salads.
