Amber & Watermelon Cats

The universe is a vast place full of unknowable mysteries. CRD explored one such mystery earlier this week: the link between watermelons and kitties. CRD raised so many questions in my mind on the topic, I had to do further research. I am left to ponder...

Cats & Watermelons: Friends or Foes?

This pair are definitely foes.

But these guys seem to be friends.

What is it with cats & watermelons? Theories?

Perhaps the outside of the watermelon is cat foe, but the inside is cat friend. Dualities of life. Also ironies and catch-22s.

It's a complicated issue. Who knew?

What you going to do with the dried cranberries?

I use dried cranberries in my congee, mostly, but I also put them in rice and curries. I usually have a bag of craisins instead of raisins. They're my go-to dried thing. And prunes. I have discovered that I love prunes.

So when you say dried cranberries, do you actually mean craisins?

Dates can be very satisfying. While there is something creepy about the skin, they're sweet as anything. Yum! Dates!

This post is awesome. I wish I had more time to read blogs and write blogs today. Prunes make you go, if you know what I mean. I like mixing in dried cranberries with brown rice to give it some punch. Also, Jack Cheese.

Kevin, I'm unclear about the difference between dried cranberries and craisins. I don't know which I mean. Explain, please?

Dried cranberries are just that. A Craisin is a brand-named product marketed by the Ocean Spray company. Craisins are sweetened and come in different flavor varieties such as orange and cherry.

I do mean dried cranberries, then. I buy them in bulk at Whole Food and they are unsweetened and flavored like cranberries.
